Located at an altitude of 1430 metres in Saint-Gervais, Le Relais des Communailles is an iconic venue nested in nature, facing the Mont-Blanc. A unique spot in the world!

Gilles and Philippe, the two owners who share a passion for outdoor activities, fell in love with the region several years ago. In November 2021, they acquired the building, with the dream of raising Le Relais des Communailles from the ashes. They worked for 2 years with the architect Sébastien Braun to restore the place to its former glory after a long period of inactivity. In December 2023, the iconic venue reopened its doors to write a new chapter with you! Le R”, as Philippe and Gilles call it, is accessible all year round by car via the road, and is ideally located just 1 hour from Geneva, 35 minutes from Chamonix and 25 minutes from Megève.

The terrace of Le Relais des Communailles, perfectly south-facing the Mont-Blanc, will be your trump card when it comes to attracting your guests. With a capacity of 150 to 200 people, our terrace has been carefully fitted out with designer furniture, combining the warmth of wood and the nobility of natural stone. According to our customers it’s definitely the most beautiful terrace in the region!
Our small Savoie chalet is fully equipped for premium snacks, our braziers and our outdoor sound system will add that extra festive touch to your events!

AUTHENTIC CULINARY EXPERIENCE: OUR PASSIONATE CHEF AT WORK

We invite you to taste our refined, gourmet cuisine, showcasing the delights of the region with produce from short food supply chains. The Chef sublimates food using charcoal ovens, an ancestral technique that guarantees the authenticity of our cuisine! We’ll put together a menu to suit your tastes: 2, 3, 4 (or more) course table service, cocktail or lunch appetiser, “Cheese & Wine”, banquet, barbecue on the terrace, picnic in the pastures – you name it!

ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS

Le Relais des Communailles joins forces with local partners to offer you accommodation solutions.

  • Le Chalet Rémy, 10′ walk or 3′ drive away, offers an entire chalet and an apartment for rent, for around 35 people. The accommodation also offers first class facilities for guests (spa with Mont-Blanc view, sauna, cinema room, gaming room, etc.).
  • Le Hameau du Renard Blanc and its 4 exceptional chalets, a 20-minute walk or 6-minute drive, accommodates up to 34 people.
  • The 3 charming mountain chalets of l’Armancette (Aster, Carline and Silène) located on le Plateau de la Croix in the beautiful village of Saint-Nicolas de Véroce, a 20-minute drive away, offer luxury accommodation for up to 36 people.
  • With 9 bedrooms and a suite, la Ferme de Cupelin is a haven of peace facing the Mont-Blanc just 15′ away by car
  • With 75 rooms for a total capacity of 213 people, the 4-star hotel le Saint-Gervais, ideally located in the centre of the village, offers a timeless experience of relaxation.
  • There are many other options, including hotels in Saint-Gervais, Megève, Saint-Nicolas de Véroce and local gites.
